It takes money and time for things to progress. With maintenance and other issues, I'm pretty sure it's always hard to get the ball rolling. It took a while for the dining room to be finished but it was well worth the wait. I'm pretty sure the Whaleys like it too. From what I understand, the managers are still in process of redoing the general store. They're probably trying to figure out a reasonable layout but also be as historical accurate as possible. The kitchen will probably take a while. Constructing, securing, and then decorating it with artifacts will take a long while. At least they have plans to do something with the house. It's better than just leaving it the boring same. Afterall, the Whaleys never kept their house the same either.
