Posted by Robin on 10/8/2005, 6:01 pm, in reply to "Re: Hello Out There" No, I didn't leave the Whaley House because of any visits from anybody. It is just one of those things...I always loved that house and I suppose I cared too much about it. I will always feel the same way about it, but it became a burden in lots of ways, and I worried about it more than ANYONE else there. Much more. And that was upsetting to management. So much so that they felt it best that I leave. So I pop in here from time to time to read and see what's up...and decided that since I am no longer under the umbrella of SOHO's rules and regulations, that I might as well participate. Just for the fun of it! Take care, and hope to hear from you soon! --Previous Message--
Hi Sabrina!

: Hi, it's been a long while since I've been
: on
: here. Just wondering if Robin, or
: Brinatello, or Modie, or Kate are still
: around? I hope you guys didn't go the way
: of the Whaleys. -Alice
:
: Hi, Alice,
: I'm still here, but I don't go by Brinatello
: on this board. That's my nickname for
: another fandom. I stopped posting after
: Robin left because I felt unsafe posting
: here when I'm never quite sure who is who.
: I also wondered if Robin left because I made
: TOO many visits to the Whaley House and
: scared away all the docents! I'd like to
: see what it's like at Halloween, but I can't
: convince my family to go ever again.
: They're a little tired of the several visits
: during the spring and summer.
:
: The only reason we'll ever go to Old Town
: now is to eat at the Acapulco there, which
: Mom and I did this past September 4th.
: After dinner, we walked around and caught
: the last Ghosts & Gravestones stage show
: in the Old Town Market. I was surprised to
: see TWO Trolleys had to be used because
: there was a lot of people for the tour. The
: tour guides were Vincent and Jaqueline (sp?)
: and the psychic was Kim, or the girl we got
: as our G&G guide on July 2nd.
:
: I've now been at a forum for T.A.P.S (The
: Atlantic Paranormal Society) where the
: Whaley House is quite frequently mentioned.
: The latest buzz is this past "Ghost
: Hunters" episode when T.A.P.S
: experienced a terrible prank aboard the
: Queen Mary. It's all everyone's been
: talking about now. My mom, sister and I
: went there on August 28 and we got one of
: the tour guides, Valerie, who was
: interviewed on the episode. There were two
: tours we took, "A Ghostly
: Encounter" (the real one with Valerie)
: and then "Ghosts and Legends of the
: Queen Mary" (the staged one). It's a
: gorgeous ship, worth a visit even if you
: don't 'see' anything!
:
: Anyway, I rambled too much. Take care for
: now all.
