Posted by Robin on 10/15/2005, 10:51 am I just discovered last night an interesting San Diego connection to Lizzie Borden. Her first cousin, who for privacy purposes I will not name, lived in San Diego for many years. She was cared for in her elder years by my friends in the 1980's. She well remembered the trial of Lizzie, and was present for this. She was about 13 years old at the time. Her adult profession? A nurse. In of all things, ironically....the psycho ward. This is even more ironic and tragic due to the fact that someone genetically close to this woman was definitely in need of residing there. And I am not talking about Lizzie. Did Lizzie do it or not? Was she evil or insane? Regardless...it can be concluded that some mental illness did run in the family. One of those little things in life that makes you go "Hmmmm........."
