It sucks for sure! But it grows back. 
Mine is starting to come in now. If I remember correctly, I washed my baldness every couple of days. My head didn't get dry, quite the opposite, it got greasy. I think because I couldn't stop touching it. Lol. You will find when you are done with treatment, that hair does not define us! I just wish the "non cancer" world saw it that way.
I think your scalp will tell you when it wants a washing, so hang in there. Jodee is right on with, "just think of the money you will save on hair products". Every time I want to buy something, I remind my husband of this. He tells me that I have spent that money several times. Ha ha.
