Dear Mary in NY, Cheryl W, Carolyn R, Kathy F, Roseanne, April, arie, diannej:
I can't tell you all how much your posts mean to me. I've been going back on this board and reading some of people's comments and you've all been so kind and so strong for each other, and for me. I'm snuffling like a jerk while I type this, but you guys have been the best thing that has happened to me since BC.
I had thought I'd handle this whole experience a whole lot better, since one of my sons had done 2 1/2 years of chemo for leukemia when he was 8 (he's 16 now, and a snarky teenager). In some ways, it's a lot easier to be sick than to watch someone you love being sick. In other ways, it's so hard to do all of the waiting around in between appointments.
I just wanted to say thank you again for being her for each other and for me. I'm so grateful for your courage. Best, Pat
