Donna, you have a lot on your plate and a lot to think about. Is there a chance you can postpone your surgery for a week? I postponed mine (same diagnosis) for a month.
We ALL have the blah days and have all asked 'why me' (you won't ever get an answer on that one other than 'why not me').
Hopefully you will find this site a great help to you. I had a lumpectomy and 8 chemo treatments followed by radiation nearly two years ago. The best thing you can do is to take it one day at a time. I didn't have a lot of help either. Some gals even work straight through their treatment. Are you having a mastectomy? I don't know your age or state of general health, but you should do fine no matter which surgery you are having. I was 58 at the time of surgery.
You will be OK. Don't be afraid to let others know how you feel. I made the mistake of keeping everything inside and regretted it.
Let us know how you are doing.
HUGS.
