Hi Alvita,
I think that juicing is a great idea! For the first few days after chemo I couldn't eat much of anything. My mouth just tasted nasty. Even water was hard to drink. But I did find through this journey that I have very little taste for meat. Even now after I finished chemo I can't stand the thought of eating meat.
My protein (albumin) never dropped during chemo but I have no idea why. After that first week to 10 days I ate alot of beets with oil and vinegar and alot of watermelon. I did not take any protein supplements either.
I think somehow your body knows what it needs and it will tell you. I hated mac & cheese and potato salad prior to chemo and now I love both. My taste buds have gone crazy. But I still have an aversion to meat.
I say juicing and smoothies are a great way to get nutrition and fluid so enjoy. Just please..no diets with chemo. THAT is a big No No!
Hugs,
Roseanne
