In January of this year I went for a routine mammogram, suspecting nothing. In February, I was diagnosed with Invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 1. The tumor was a grade 3. Had lumpectomy on March 5 and began chemo on April 1 (some April Fool's joke). One more A/C treatment to go, then 5 weeks' radiation starting at the end of June. I am so thankful that I kept to my yearly schedule of having the mammogram in January!
