Diagnosed at 50 with early stage 1 and 2 in both breasts. 4 years earlier was diagnosed DCIS in right breast and was given option to take Tamoxifen for 5 years as a preventative measure, which I declined due to massive side effects. Had double mascetomy in January of 2003 with 6 rounds of TAC but no radiation. I have been on Arimidex for the past 16 months. I am now just coming to understand what I went through. I seemed to be on auto pilot for most of the time.
