Hi Rosie, I admire your positive attitude and hope the DIEP reconstruction went well. I was wondering if you would share how you came to the decision to have DIEP, as I have been advised to have a masectomy on my right breast due to DCIS in multiple quadrants. I am 51 year old. I was diagnosed in August, 2004, had a stereotactic biospy followed by a wide excision biopsy, 22 of 37 sessions of radiation and a mammogram/sonogram interupted the radiation after "too many suspicious calcifications were still present". Are you satisfied with the results of your surgery? Is there anything you would advise me about? I hope you are recovering and back to feeling GREAT! Thanks for any help. Nancy Schimp
