Posted by Esther on 2/22/2005, 1:37 pm, in reply to "Leesburg, Florida" I was diagnosed on 1/14 after having a lumpectomy on 01/04, then based on the pathology report we went ahead with a left side mastectomy and right side biopsy (had a lump there too) on 01/27....I was amazed at the ease of it all, I expected it to be more traumatic I guess, but instead it went pretty well each time and I've felt great all along...I will start chemo next month after I come back from a trip to Florida ( I live in L.A.) and although I was scared of chemo I've found it very helpful to read, read, read...the more you know about it the less frightening it gets...prayer, support and reaching out to others is of course the best recipe for me! You'll do great...we have to fight and win...let's embrace this challenge and use it as a steping stone for the rest of our lives!! Best,
