I have been recently diagnosed with a fibroedenoma via needle biopsy at UCLA. There were some A typical cells in the needle biopsy, so tomorrow I am going to have the entire lump removed and another biopsy will be done. When the lump was diagnosed on the ultrasound, the doctor told me that he thought it was fibroedenoma and I would most likely need to have it removed as they tend to grow. He said that they are rarely cancerous, but it is not "good to have anything growing in the breast". I am 41 years old. It is found in most younger women. Does this help at all?
