Dear friends of the lost breasts, I am now a warrior woman, with my Jaws 2 look on my chest--(the right side) but I have not stopped laughing and living. On February 23 I had my surgery, and nine our of 14 lymph nodes had cancer in them, some of them were quite impacted. My Bone and Body scans showed no tumors. I am now starting my Chemo. SINce I am a diabetic, it took longer to heal, to start the chemo. I interviewed 4 surgeons, and three chemo centers, before making my decisions. It is so important to find the right captain for your ship. I have a spot right where my arm conjustaposes with my chest, and fluid has build up , I have had it drained 4 times. Since I am diabetic, my sugar levels are in the 300's. My diabetic doctor says that the steroids do this, and they will be with me for ten to fourteen days after stopping taking the meds. Much love to all of you precious dear friends. We all have something in common. OUr bodies are changed, but NOT OUR SPIRITS> Our friends are not measuring our shapes, they only want to hear our voices and our laughter. Keep a good attitude. MARY
