Posted by Bridget on 4/26/2005, 2:58 pm, in reply to "Santa Paula CA" May I ask how old you are? My daughter, Stacy, was 27 when the breast cancer was discovered. I think she knew long before she told me because she was pregnant with her second child and didn't want to do anything to jeopardize her baby's life. Alice was born 6/2/04 and Stacy had her biopsy done on my birthday (8/31) and was told the next day she had breast cancer. She started chemo immediately, but she was a stage 3 and the mass was quite large. It was reduced greatly and she was on followup chemo when she fell down three steps at her house and landed on her backbone. Well, it opened up a weak spot and the cancer spread into her spinal fluid. PLEASE, PLEASE be extra careful. The same thing happened to two other people I know, if there's a weak area, it will spread - just don't give it a chance. My darling daughter passed away on 1/11/05 and left 2 little girls, Samantha - 4 yrs old and Alice 10 months old. Try not to be around people who may be sick or have colds. Also, ask your doctor about the baking soda mouthwash because some chemo treatments can give you "thrush" mouth. Eat healthy and hard as it is, try to be somewhat active. You can email me at the above email address and I wish you all the luch in the world. I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Bridget
