I don't know how it works in your country (US), but socialized medicine is not always as great as it seems. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma July 13/05. I am in Stage IIA, the tumour is just under 3 cm. I have to wait until Sept 15/05 before I have my surgery (my surgeon gets back from his holidays). I asked about another surgeon and he replied that they are all as backed up as he is.
