I grew up in the 1940's and I am desperately trying to find the text of a ditty , to the tune of the WWII popular song "Bless 'em All" , that made affectionate fun of the Brooklyn Dodger pitching staffs in the early 40's. The lines I remember are..." Bless 'em all, bless 'em all, the long and the short and the tall....John Whitlow Wyatt was first to go in , then came Les Webber and ..oh , what a din ;etc..bless all those rookies etc.....". I have a vague recollection that the ditty was part of a Mullin "the Bums" cartoon . Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated.
