omniscience: it is possible if your computer can actually listen to the message that the server send to the spoofed ip. Why? Because you need the servers ack number which is different from the one you send. So.. only if you are connected to a network with a hub.... not a switch... unless you also hack the switch to send to your port the messages to the spoofed ip.
