Posted by The Scout on 3/13/2006, 6:11 pm, in reply to "sat game" Again I have to agree with the much older No.5, who looked terrible. No pace, poor passer of the ball & got caught 'wrong side' far too often (including for the last goal, when he was too busy arguing with Liam in nets). Thought Ally got it wrong a few times on Saturday, should have played Carlos centre mid & Wrighty centre half, kept the new lads on the bench. Also, when Ossett switched to 3 up top, Ally failed to respond & as a result, Woodley got overran at the back. You can't just took the full backs in & hope they pick up the extra centre forward because it's not as easy as that. Ossett still had 4 in midfield to battle with Woodley & with that young No.8, we simply got overran. Still, with the benefit of hindsight it's easy to pick fault. Keep the faith & maybe we'll be able to get revenge next year when we play Ossett home & away in the Premier Divison. Oh, and on a positive note, our left back (dont know his name) had a great game. Full of running, clever with the ball & never afraid to put a tackle in. He was superb throughout.

Have to agree here, the No.8 was young & maybe out of his depth against a higher division side. He looked poor & his passing was woeful.
