I just dropped another 360 from a truck in my 73 scamp 73 but this time I swapped from a 904 to a 727. The motor and tranny are a matched pair, I got a new custom driveshaft made up so its brand new from the front u-joint to the rear u-joint.
Im getting a vibration when I go 55mph and it gets worse the faster I go. The vibration has a good rythem to it...BBBRRRRRRRMMMMMM...BBBBRRRRRRMMMMMMM...BBBBRRRRRMMMMMM. It feels like it is located at the rear of the tranny and the only thing that is differant other than a it beeing a 904 is that the big counter weight that bolts to the tail of the tranny (The one that looks like a triangle with a round cut out of the top) was missing from the 727 when I got it and the 904 weights bolt holes wouldnt line up.
Can I just redrill the holes so they line up or can I just goto the junkyard and grab a weight off a 727 in a truck.
I need to get this all working so I can try and sell the car at the Portland swapmeet next week.
