When Jordan Peterson first came to the world's attention, he talked a good deal of sense. He was one of the first to really highlight the lunacy going on in academia with trans issues, compelled speech around personal pronouns and the losses (tenure, jobs, publishing opportunities, research grants etc) suffered by anyone who disagreed.
Unfortunately, fame has kinda gone to his head and he now pontificates on EVERYTHING whether he knows anything about the issue or not. Add in that he's suffered a lot of personal misfortune - his wife was diagnosed with a very rare, very deadly form of kidney cancer. She's survived but still seems pretty frail while Peterson had a very public battle with prescription drugs. I think in many ways, he's no longer the same man as when he first came to public notice.
All of this is a long-winded way of saying I think it's better to attack arguments and not the person voicing them.
