I think most Jewish people do not consider themselves a race and would resent the suggestion. . But you simplify things too much to say it's a "superstition" - that's emphasising the religious component of Jewishness. But there are many agnostic and atheistic people who call themselves Jews. There's a strong ethnic/cultural component of Jewishness. Some have thought of Jews as a diaspora - being a dispersed "nation", Some would suggest that being Jewish is being part of a "family". To claim Judaism as a "superstition" is plainly missing a good deal of what it is to be Jewish., indeed perhaps the most important part. ,
