Ukraine, in stark contrast, is on its knees, having wasted tens of thousands of soldiers on a great spring offensive, the great final push, that was supposed to break through the Russian defensive lines, destroy the Russian army and result in a decisive and historic victory for Ukraine and the West.
That was the plan, only it failed catastrophically. The West, once more, has to pretend that they haven't been defeated, like in Afghanistan, just dust themselves off, and start all over again, with high hopes, high apple pie in the sky hopes.
Washington and London's leadership and control of virtually the entire western political and media systems, who, like McDonald's function as franchises, are pretending that Ukraine hasn't been massively defeated and that Ukraine has a realtistic future strategy for victory over Russia. This is gonna be very difficult over the next couple of years as the Russians steadily advance and push the Ukrainians inexorably backwards across the entire frontline.
Will any politician or leader in the West dare to break ranks and tell the truth about the defeat in Ukraine? How long can the pretense, the downright lie that the West and Ukraine are winning survive, despite the facts on the ground?
