In brief, your first criticisms seemed to be GG was talking about and more concerned about Gaza than he was about my home town of Rochdale. When I pointed out he HAD talked about Rochdale you changed tack and wondered whether his aims and aspirations might achieve results. Eh? So he did voice his concerns and yet you're still not happy? Give the bloke a chance to at least try before shooting him down.
The relevance of the BBC and Labour downplaying of the victory due to low turnout is that you were playing the same game by saying the turn-out was "pretty low" (ie, his victory was somehow spurious) when in fact it was above average for a by-election. Using the media's tricks and twisting facts is not a good look.
I'm sorry, but you have totally missed the point about the WWII reference. Galloway was saying that an MP would have been applauded then for raising the plight of the Jews in Europe -- and not derided as you implied he ought to be today for being the MP for Gaza.
You've either changed tack, Sue, or not challenged anything I've said with a convincing argument. Sorry to be bunt.
