The first half of the book was actually quite enjoyable: not bad for a BBC guy I thought but the second half really lets it down badly.
So far he's swallowed the Bill Browser Magnitsky nonsense, Assad weapons of mass destruction Sarin nonsense, the Scripal novichok drivel, Russiagate hacking nonsense, and now now the Christopher Steele fake fake dossier is half way down his gizzard.
-All of these subject have of course been treated rightly with a great deal of circumspection by my honourable colleagues on Lifeboat.
One wonders why you would write a book ostensibly about Russia when it's subject is really western propaganda and paranoia. Mind you the other books on Putin were non starters. Am I really going to get anything out a book titled" Killer in the Kremlin" ?
Anywise, one other thing mentioned under Russian hacking operations were two groups named "cosy bear" and "fancy bear" supposedly funded by the Russian state. I suspect the evidence for this is, somewhat like the case for all the above: completely non-existent.
Anyone know of a critical article on these supposed "Bears"?
