Titan-Titanic submersible: tempting fate to repeat itself - again horrifically. cf. Nordstream sub Archived Message

OK - it may not be a geopolitical news tragedy but I feel the victims deserve at least a "passing" mention here.

But I'll try to give it a little geopolitical edge/spin all the same.

    Here goes - deep breath:

    Deep Sea Implosions versus Explosions

When your intention is merely to explore the wreck of an unsinkable ship - you perish hellishly. The Titan victims' deaths were/are as gruesomely and titanically ironic as it gets(as no media reports have mentioned).

By contrast - if your mission is to innocently blow up a pipeline and cripple the German/EU economy everything runs smoothly.

Yep - there must be a God then. One possessed of a gruesomely divine sense of irony.

The FT has no problems credibly reporting THIS submersible's mission and the fateful outcome:

"Five Dead After ‘Catastrophic Implosion’ of Submersible at Titanic Site":

"The Curse of the Titanic" - are any more wealthy tourists still eager to commune - eternally - with so many lost sunken souls?

And will Hollywood/Netflix scriptwriters/producers be itching to respectfully cash in?
