    Sorry, I think this is nonsense. it's just an opinion piece written by jokers whose careers depend on finding ways to promote "cheaper" methods of energy generation.. such as "renewables".

    UK gov policy treats nuclear as a "renewable":


    Nuclear power is to be classed as “environmentally sustainable” in the UK's green taxonomy, giving it access to the same investment incentives as renewable energy, chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced in his spring budget 2023 speech on Wednesday (15 March).


    In addition the cost of Nuclear Power per KW is estimated by many at 10 times that of solar. The differential is so high you could probably add storage for peak use to the solar bill and still be left with change.
