Its not just the NHS, its been across the board on once public owned entities both sides of the Atlantic, i.e., Further Education and Higher Education has suffered the same process, namely an exponential growth in non-specialist managers and actual decrease in frontline staff or casualisation of said jobs. Further, its these very middle class types who have run amok with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) across many institutions - of course, DEI has no impact on social mobility or increased wages for non-university educated peeps, rather, its a scam to enable family members to join the ranks of the PMC and bugger the rest, regardless of sex, sexuality, gender or colour, which, allegedly they are so interested in, unless it impacts their own positions and those of their family members. Genuine AI threatens this strata of society, as does the increasing cost of energy. In Holland, they are trying to do things different in the hospitals, i.e., they embrace team work and undertaken tasks based on actual abilities and not a MBA of degree in Business Studies. Cost of this excess is huge - Wales NHS is rife with management and consultants, just a shame the consultants have zero medical experience!
