Re: Bethesda and La Sierra
Please provide some hints. We drop to DII?
As I mentioned in my Florida trip post, there may be some exciting scheduling news starting next season.
I have got to admit that I am not real excited about these two teams being on our schedule, and I certainly hope that we win both games. BUT,...there is no question that we need a couple of teams to try to get our act together against. It is hard to practice against your own all of the time. Hope that this gives EVERYONE a chance to get some playing time against those that are not your teammates!
We should easily beat Bethesda University of Anaheim, CA. This small (218 students) school plays in the NCCAA which is the National Christian College Athletic Association.
We should also beat La Sierra University of Riverside, CA who plays at the NAIA level. La Sierra has about 2,000 students and plays in the California Pacific Conference.
These two games do not help us improve as they are two teams that shouldn't even be on our home schedule. Can't we even schedule division 2 or 3 schools for these games? Scheduling home games against teams at the NCCAA and NAIA levels is a joke.
I hope no one counts these games as a win on our record.
