The LBC (Long Beach City in common vernacular nowadays, origin disputed) was an intriguing branding attempt.

I think it looks interesting, is more relevant to younger people, overall wish we were branding as Long Beach State University, and Long Beach State for Athletics. LBC as an occasional giveaway or even on warmups, maybe. As main branding, I'd look elsewhere.
