True that any college president should be working on networking for donations in the community. Not sure though about Jane as I see many dept deans doing the work on getting donations. LBSU has never been great at reaching out to the community as that continues with the latest Beach Donation Day that was advertised on social media. With the number of alumni that the amount raised should have been higher than what was reported.
Then with Jane gutting the alumni association and the TINY group getting rid of the use of 49ers does not help in donations. The hope that current and just graduating students giving back is not the way to raise money today in this financial environment. Previous Message
Our president's main job is to raise money and build industry relationships. Previous Message
Here is the email:
Dear CSULB Administrators and Staff,
A student group has proposed changing the name of the Daily Forty-Niner campus newspaper. To help inform their decision, they are seeking feedback from faculty, administrators, staff, students, and alumni.
We would very much appreciate your opinion on this issue
