I doubt that you could pick me out of the crowd Dennis. There are very few, maybe none, fans that have ardently supported Long Beach athletics more than I have over the past 55 years. I have attended sooo many events and contributed so much of my hard earned money. Of course, Marilyn, the Walters, a handful of others including you, have knocked in more money than me. You probably have more. Back in the day...when things were getting tough...Dwight Jones and the department got deep into my pocket. That's all history, you are asking about what can we do now. Here are two key thoughts.

First, LB fans get too little information. Some posters make excuses for the athletic department that are often inaccurate and certainly not sufficient. We need more information. We are fanatics and the department should be looking for ways to grow our group. To feed the fire we need as much info as UCLA supporters gets. A lot of that comes through the media but the media is getting from some where. I so much miss the days of the IPT with Burlison and Schrader and others constantly talking about LB athletes and the athletic administration. Our AD and SID need to pick it up....a lot.

Second thing, a little more difficult than the first. Our programs need to dominate the Big Worst. How does that happen? They need money. That's on the AD. Get frickin busy or get out. The challenge requires good coaches too. If those coaches don't do well at LB....they need to be shown the door...immediately. D-1 athletics is show business. Perform or get out. That's on the AD. There is little room for nice guys in managing a D-1 athletic department. It is hard ball.

Some of this I have said to Andy already. He is a woke want to be sort of a guy. He has got to work extremely hard at fund raising and he has to be tough with coaches. I am not clear that Andy is up to those tasks. Show me.
