For basketball, yes...we would stand and clap until the first basket (although a lot would sit if we got a free throw as well).

Besides the nonsense of Elbee that site has when opposing teams score that everyone sits down. From my many years attending that I thought it was the other way around as when LBSU scores we sit down.
