Re: Nike contract
Sadly, there are few products in big box stores and on Amazon that are not made in China. International companies, which most all big companies are today, look for the lowest labor costs. I am sure Nike offered us a better deal and since money rules today, we accept the deal.
since most people think that their problem is over in china, so it does not effect them - if they don't see it, or have it close by them and they enjoy their product then it is ok since they are so far away from the problems in china -- when you support a program that is forcing people do work, live under the control of oppressive government by buying their products then you are supporting that country and all of their evil ways -- yes i try not to buy anything that comes from china and it is hard to do ---
Anyone who bothers to check the Nike supply chain will know it is VERY DIRTY. Some will say this is off topic. I accept that. Not posting anything else about this EXCEPT:
1) I won't wear anything with that logo on it
2) If we are such a "WOKE" University (I think we are), than how can our leaders ignore the Nike supply chain issues????
3) I haven't "Woke" up yet....Ugggggghhhhhh
4) For some reason this is often discussed in Australian News (their 60 Minutes) but never really comes up in the USA. Sad
P.S. GO DUCKS!
I would have liked the programs to stay with Mizuno. LB always had the best looking uniforms while the other programs had the same cookie cutter look.
