It took a 38 minute and 12 second painful phone call. ESPN+ and HULU are both owned by Disney Corp, so I would call them brothers or sisters to each other. Sometimes family members do not get along well together. I found this to be true today. It's like the left hand doesn't like the right hand of the same body!
Here is what I learned:
1) If your account is via HULU (like mine is), and you pay a monthly fee, expect a long phone call.
2) My billing date is the 26th of the month. The offer expires on the 23rd. ESPN+ said I should wait until my subscription expires on 8-26, then sign up for the annual plan. If I did that, it's $99.99 for 1 year, not $69.99. I had to "bitch" about my status to get ESPN+ off it's butt to help. Eventually they relented, with the help of the HULU agent I started my call with.
3) If you paid ESPN+ directly for your service, the process will be much less painful.
