You are correct as one day parking will have to be at the kiosk as that would work for the one game in Oct.
After that as can purchase the monthly for Nov-Feb.
Agree that cost of parking is more than a season ticket. Also with the less than impressive home schedule that wonder how crowds will be this season.
You must have gotten a different message than I did. On the website it only lists a monthly pass for $35. I did create a username and password.I don't see a 1 day pass for a game day on the purchase list so it looks like you will need the kiosk for a 1 day pass. Here is what I received.
Dear Season Ticket Holder,
This is a notification to inform you that you are now able to go online and purchase your monthly parking permit.
Steps to Obtain Parking Privileges
1. Go to http://parking.csulb.edu
(Please have your license plate and vehicle description ready)
2. Select Permits à Get Permits
3. Log in as a guest with your email address and last name as password; you will be required to reset your password
4. Follow the instructions on each page
Note: Attached is a step-by-step guide on how to purchase a permit.
Where to Park
Activity permits are valid in all general lots after 4pm. In addition, activity permits are valid in all restricted lots after 5:30pm and all day on weekends unless the space is otherwise restricted with posted signage.
Two vehicle limit
Only two vehicles may be associated with your virtual permit in the system and only one vehicle is allowed on campus at a time. You can update your vehicle information through the Parking Portal by using the step-by-step guide on How to Maintain your Parking Account.
For additional information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (562) 985-4146.
Instructions sent out allows to purchase on your computer at home as not have to do so at the kiosk.
Not sure though about the app....
Agree that having a student worker makes things easier for those that are not good with tech.
I am not interested in waiting in line at a Kiosk to buy a parking pass in Oct, Nov, and March. I remember a few years ago when you pulled up to a lot, handed a paid student worker your money, and parked. Ahh, the good old days. The Parkmobile App used last year must be gone.
Received as well as a few things to note:
1. Instructions sent are that weekends are for all day so the 2 1PM starts will be fine with the parking pass for the month.
2. Only 1 game for October so do not purchase this month as wait until November.
The new parking procedures I received today in an email have you set up an account at LB State parking.http://parking.csulb.edu.
After getting an account and logging in you have the ability to buy a monthly parking pass for $35 each month. The pass is good only after 4pm even though there are two 1pm games this year. There are home games this season in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan,Feb,and March. So for 6 months of games at the Myd, the cost would be $210. This policy is controlled by the parking dept and not the Athletic Dept . Seems like it keeps getting harder to go to the Myd and watch our teams play.
