“Obviously you want to play better with a good opening day crowd here to generate some momentum for your year but I think it was a great game for us to show us where we’re at and what we have to do to win this league,” LBSU coach Dan Monson said.
A great game for us, in what universe? I half expect Rod Serling to turn a corner and face the camera and say "This balding man is a head coach, a coach of a team going nowhere, but to the Twilight Zone"
“They came in and hit us early and we never really recovered,” Monson said of Montana State that won 27 games and made the NCAA Tournament last year. “They just kept us at arms length. That’s what really good teams do and we’re trying to become one.”
What did YOU do Monson to recover from the early hit? You seem to be blaming the team only. Look in the mirror you fool, see the chief culprit. You don't belong as a head coach. Year after year the same BS.
“Our offense needs to be better spaced and paced to get better shots,” Monson said. “We’ve got to get more rhythm threes. And our defense needs to create more offense on the break... We’ve got a lot of work to do to play together. We’re not getting the shots we need to offensively. We’re really breaking down and going off on our own and doing our own thing too much. That doesn’t work. We need to get that changed or the results won’t change.”
You moron, when your team is totally unprepared compared to the opponent, they will stop your offense from getting the spacing it needs. This is on you for not preparing the team or having any real strategies! Every team is in the same boat early on, and MSU totally outplayed your team on your home court in front of your fans...well, I doubt you have more than a small handful of actual fans and they are all your friends. Noticed how you still walk back out on the court after halftime no where near your top 3 assistants...seen this for years now, what does this mean?
