The 25 assists to 13 turnovers against a DI team is a positive development. Tells me we likely forced the tempo and it opened up the offense. Sounds like the full court press was in order with 12 steals. I hope we can keep this up.
Lassina had a lot of TOs against St. Katherine's small lineup when he got interior passes too low or maybe he brings the ball down a bit when he catches it. He's got the length to get passes above the chest level maybe that is a strategy. 7 TOs for your starting center isn't great, but his stat line was rockin good otherwise.
Not so much you can learn from stats but the ones that stand out to me:
Tone Hunter: 2 pts, 2 rbs, 7 assists, 1 TO, 6 steals.
Starting Five: All in double figures scoring. 4 of the 5 played over 30 minutes. 6 assists 1 TO for Murray...our two 'pg' had 13 assists and 2 TO. AJ had a breakout game, 12 pts 6 rbs. Very dominant starting five stat line.
Rotegaard: 1-3 from 3 pts. Maybe the one make gets him going.
Chayce and Amari didn't light it up but both got minutes.
I am very pleased with this outcome, the game today should be a far more difficult test but if we can force that tempo most the game we may win.
No Tsohonis? Any word on why he didn't play?

Crazy that 7 of the TO’s were from one guy (L Traore), and no one else had more than 1. The box score looks like almost everything that we got going was going inside, which are usually assisted baskets. A Traore had a bunch of assists and guessing they weren’t kick outs given how few 3pt baskets we had. Sounds like Oakland was very undersized and we took advantage. Not sure we get that scenario a lot, but nice to know we can take advantage. Still a little nervous about the lack of O/S shooting. Previous Message
According to the box score, we had 25 assists on 34 baskets today, compared to ONLY 13 TOs. I cannot remember a stat line like that from any LB team in the Monson era. Oakland is not a bad team either. Previous Message
Defeats Oakland 78-70. Will play N. Texas St. tomorrow. They defeated San Jose St. 69-54.
