back in the 90's the only teams that were called the beach was the wvb and tennis teams all the others were called 49'ers - then in the early 2000's we started up our beach volleyball program and we started calling them the beach also -- but as on all of your drivers licenses have the picture of a 49er in the upper left hand corner i will always stay as a 49er -- at least this state has done something "right" finally ---- GO 40ERS --

That's what th administration doesn't understand. Only die hards know what we are. Outside of long beach, we are known as the 49ers and dirt bags. Like it or not. I personally like The Beach. But know it doesn't have any history. Going by long beach state Beach does not flow at all. At this point probably best to tear it all down and start over. Everyone is confused. Previous Message
