If Monson would voluntarily retire wonderful. If not let him coach for the final year of his contract then replace him.

You promote Scholl, Carey, and Caveness.
They reportedly have a good connection with the players.
Give them (and a new 3rd asst coach) a year to run the team.
Could well see better results.

Reassigning Monson at this point is the same as firing him. Players will bolt out of here. New recruits will find a more secure team elsewhere and we will not be able to refill the team with quality players.
I understand that we are unhappy with the situation we are in, but you don't set fire to your car because it failed to start in the morning.
What would we be offering the new coach? Location?
Overpriced housing
High property taxes
High sales taxes
High state taxes
Highest homeless population
University that doesn't seem to value sports
Mostly underfunded sports programs
Leaky roof?
