Meaningless poll. Nothing will happen until there is a new AD and he/she will have a year to evaluate the situation. I like our Asst. Coaches, but aren't they coaching the players day to day. They are also up and providing instructions during games. So if they took over, what would change? I would not make Scholl the head coach, either intrim or permanent. The other two have potential. What is needed next year is a point guard who is a transfer and was successful leading a team. Hunter would be a backup as planned this year. Our team lacks leadership on the floor. The existing gruop of coaches will be here at least one more year (unless they are hired some place else). Get the point guard!!!!

For sure, Monson needs to be replaced no more than a year from now.

CDM might be 63 but how many basketball coaches retire at 63? I think Boeheim is something like 96 years old. CDM would sign a 5 year extension today if he could.
All said and done, I believe CDM will coach next year. Our new AD will be right along the line of Jane Conoley. We will not extend CDM and we will hire the next basketball coach on the cheap. Which means it will be a 50/50 toss up on whether the coach is even better than CDM. Previous Message
For the second year in a row, we are hit hard by injuries and are not at our best at the end of the year. (Monson's decision to not carry a full 13 players is at least partly to blame.) I know you guys hate him, but the players came here to play for him. I recall watching him and Aboubacar walking arm in arm out of the arena after a game. He also has a track record of success with PGs, which is our highest need. If I was a top PG, I would look at this team and drool over the potential assists. Monson is something like 63, he will probably retire anyway after next year. We are broke, and don't have the dough to buy him out. So let him have his last hurrah. There is a chance of him going out on a high note, he is a good man. Just suck it up for one more year, root for a high note on his retirement party and lets see what this core can do with another year of development. Previous Message
I don't see any value in reassigning Monson for the final year of his contract. The Athletic Department has financial problems, and this only adds to them.
The IRA fee, if Conoley approves it (which seems likely), is a good thing. There's a bureaucracy problem because IRA fees are administered by an IRA board, but it's about 2.5 to 3 Million dollars in revenue that is badly needed.
Maybe the Interim AD Kadowaki will wade into the MBB coach issue, but I doubt it. It will be a can kicked down the road to when the new AD is hired.
The best way to handle this situation, in my opinion, would be to [force Monson to] hire a good potential next head coach as an Associate Head Coach, and use Monson's final year as a way to transition to a new phase in the program's history. Previous Message

It is most likely that it all going to have to wait until April 2024 for anything to happen. In a few months we will have a new AD. Anything to do with Dan will cost money. Can any one here see Jane spending money to force him out. I just don't Previous Message
