Monson needs to go no matter what. Even if that meant both Traores leave after next year. I doubt they would unless its for the NBA.
There is zero reason to even contemplate keeping Dan around. Any short term damage to the program can be turned around by the right coaching hire.
Wait until a new AD is in house, hope they are pretty amazing for what we can offer them, and hope they make a great bball hire. That is all I want and hope for regarding MBB and our athletics in general.
No to extending Monson, for any reason.

Bottom line for us, we have been fortunate so far to hang on to our core. But, one reasonable question is what is the status of Monson going to do to our ability to attract a couple top shelf guards. Knowing there is only one year left on his contract, and knowing there is probably a low chance of an extension, any guard with more than one year eligibility is going to hesitate to jump into a situation where there is likely to be a Change in Coaches. I know you guys are not fans of CDM, but he has been really good with guards, particularly scoring PGs. Truth be told, Monson should either probably be bought out now, or extended 1-2 years. Otherwise, you might be wasting the next two years with the Traores. The alternative is probably to go exclusively after grad transfers with only one year left. Previous Message
