The feds continuously increase the debt ceiling to pay their ever expanding expenses that incoming revenue can't cover

The US is over 31 trillion dollars in debt. That is the accumulated over spending beyond revenue that has occurred for decades and both major parties are responsible.

The current budget deficit is over $1 trillion.

States and local governments must spend within their revenue limits and the only way to overspend an annual budget would be if they have reserves. They can't create debt out of thin air.
The US Fed prints dollar debt and is not a federal agency it is a quasi private central bank set up by Congress https://www.stlouisfed.org/in-plain-english/who-owns-the-federal-reserve-banks
and it owns nearly 20% of the US debt

Working within budget constraints is something that is a part of many job descriptions! Previous Message
So, we are looking for a budget person who is able to stay within a set budget. I am guessing this is a common job description when looking for an administrator at this level but I wonder how many prospective experienced candidates read this and deleted the application posting. Previous Message
