I chatted a couple times with Chris when he was doing our games, seemed like a very nice guy. I think he is the best announcer we had here, I also listened to him on UCLA games a bit over the years. Good guy. RIP Chris.

I also got to know Chris, especially since Al Fujimoto was his stat man for road contests. Chris was always very upbeat and friendly. I heard he suffered from Parkinson's, and suffered a stroke recently. Such sad news.

For this who remember Chris as the 49ers football and basketball radio play-by-play before he left for UCLA’ s announcer, Chris passed away at age 74
