Which of the LBSU sports even has that funding?
Are we back to targeted sports like the 90s?
If yes then expectations need to be adjusted too.
95% sure Hawaii and some UCSB sports are providing decent sized cash stipends.
I am told that at least one LB team is not even funded at the allowed max in state scholarship level anymore.

Indeed. I see relatively little point in offering our athletes anything but some solid stipends. You can't match wallets with the big boys on this one. Will be a constant churn of losing some and gaining some. Maybe in time we can offer some decent NIL $$ and strategically keep a player now and then. Previous Message
you are right -- the big boys are going to get the cream of the crop and the crumbs will be spread out over the mid majors -- Previous Message
You start paying one here or there you might as well close shop up.
Sinking ship. Previous Message
sorry to say -- but -- if you pay they stay --- same with most if they got an offer for lets say $25000 more per year wou7ld they take the new offer or stay where they were at ---- Previous Message
Someone really offered $25k? For what purpose? Too keep a golfer for one more year?
If so, situation hopeless. Previous Message
None other than our best golfer Ian Gilligan.
Money in the form of NIL talks. Our offer of $25K didn't cut it.
