I note seneral elements to this. The new AD will report to the Chief Financial Officer of LBSU. The new AD will be required to restructure the Athletic Dept so it operates within 1% of its budget. WHAT WILL THE BUDGET BE? After 2023 any deficits will not be covered by the university nut will be charged to the subsequent years budget.
This is a recipe for the demise of the Athletic Dept as we have known it. Costs will continue to rise especially with control the oil companies have over us. D2 here we come.
In addition the part about that we have the largest public funded art school in the country. I have been told be a friend who was an art major that the university has let the dept go for a number of years now. It is in dire straits. Old outdated equipment, building needing major maintenance and updates. The Prez refuses to do anything about it anytime soon.
