• Job spec calls for someone who ucan run an athletics business... financial CEO/CFO type. Key is to make the tough decisions and lead.. not play golf and eat lunch.
Aka... another young Dan Radakovich who was here in early 90s and had a pretty phenomenal career since.
• How many of the development/fundraising types have brought their "connections" and changed anything the last 30 years? (Answer is 0 including three consecutive ADs).
There are no inside or previous inside candidates with the skill set listed in the job spec.
Go outside and young with an financial operation background that will see all with FRESH eyes.
But the final choice will be VP of Finance Scott Apel's call as that is where the position now answers. Previous Message
Might not be a bad option frankly. I don't know what he accomplished here but his Rose Bowl connections in Southern California might do us some good, and he has experience in operations and with endowment building.
With the job posting basically calling for the end to funding from Brotman Hall, the new leader has to have long term vision for athletics, and while we have fundraised okay to bridge gaps, an athletics specific foundation/endowment is probably necessary for our future.

Only name I have heard is Dedan Brozino. And I heard it from him months ago.
