Newly named Long Beach State AD Bobby Smitheran’s five-year contract includes a base salary of $275K. CollegeAD reports Smitheran is eligible for yearly merit-based raises and can earn $5K for each regular season or conference tournament win. His bonus cap is $35K. The contract does not include a buyout, but does contain a clause which prohibits Smitheran from seeking other employment without first notifying LBSU.
