With respect to Disney I think they did not plan well and promised the moon financially to the college power football and basketball conferences. They are nows scrambling for more money. They know streaming has been what they thought it would be financially. Per Charter Communications, owner of Spectrum, many people are dropping cable tv. Thus continuing to raise rates is not something they want to do now. Oh and yesterday Disney indicated espn will now have a segment where people can do online gambling.
Then there is the NIL situation. It is all a mess.
I love sports but I am sick of all of it. It is bad enough that we pay what we presently do. We have a regular tv where we can watch channel 7. It has more channels available than one can imagine without the cost. When I was a kid I usedvto listen to baseball games and auto races with my dad and attend local high school games. It was better then.
