Maybe Lame gets a cut of the beer/alcohol sales at the games. Shorter games means less beer sales.

Yes, like the pro game no longer will the clock stop on 1st downs and no longer will the clock stop when a player runs out of bounds with the exception of the last 2 min of each half.
This will certainly shorten the length of games. Previous Message
