Don't believe they are "as broke"... asinine over $5 million
Issue here has been complete lack of fiscal management while allowing many coaches to spend/travel like we are more than a mid majors at best.
Look at the away travel of many sports vs those at CSUN and CSF.
We may like playing like a big dog in the 'marquee' sports but eventually you have to pay the bills.
It is my belief that is what led to Fee being told to find alternative home. Someone has to tell overspending coaches 'no'. This our new A.D. answers to finance and head coaches no longer have direct access to the President.
Fairly certain CSUN nor CSF hoops coaches have never spent $500 to charter a bus for the fellas to go dinner locally at Shakeys. Just saying dumb adds up.

Livy I am not denying what you are saying. But isn’t Fullerton and Northridge just as broke as we are? Yet they can afford to bring in a couple of D1 home games. If we are even trying to sell tickets and bring in some revenue we are going to have to spend a little. No one expects LB to schedule Duke. Previous Message
and we don't have the money for that...I have heard we don't even have enough to pay full scholarship/housing in all sports, let alone meaningful NIL money or giving money to other schools.

As posted below, other BW schools have much, much better non conference home opponents. We've gotten so used to crap home non conference scheduling, we're all at the point of just begging for two decent DI opponents every year. This year, we barely got one (Sac St is low low end).
We have 13 non conference games this year. Since 3 don't count, its really 10 Div I games. The next coach should be required to have a minimum of 3 quality DI opponents scheduled every year. Then the 3 cupcake non DI schools can round out the non conf home schedule, and we can travel for 7 road games and some of these would be home and homes vs. Cali schools

Yeah Yeah, it’s hard to schedule home games. No one wants to come to LB. We don’t have enough money to schedule decent teams at home. Ticket sales aren’t enough. Etc, etc.
look if we ever want to build up we have to do better. Monson has it easy, Guaranteed wins.
Monson used to schedule better. He has contacts, he can schedule better if he wants. You would think the Team would want a better schedule too. Previous Messager
